Dr. Seuss Birthday Party!

For Peyton's 2nd Birthday, we decided to have everything Dr. Seuss! I started by looking on Pintrest for inspiration, and my imagination took over from there! I would walk into Micheals and go nuts because ideas were flooding me! Haha. Alright so it wasn't that bad, but I did have a lot of fun with this party. Warning: I posted a TON of pictures. Have fun browsing! :)

I made this sign simply using Word and a picture off the internet. Next time I'm going to spend a little more time on the entrance piece!

This is the book signing table when everyone first walked in.

Everyone signed little messages to Peyton throughout the book so he will treasure it as he grows up.

I saw one similar online and put my twist on it! I downloaded Dr. Seuss font online for free instead of paying $12 on Etsy for a pdf! Cheap Mama! :)

Fish bowl stacked on very old Dr. Seuss books. The sticker on the glass if a picture of the fish from Cat in The Hat.

The blue frame has a collage from his first birthday and the second picture is from this birthday. Itwas cute to see how much he has grown!

I made this using a mason jar, glass pebbles, styrofoam circle, felt scraps from banner and stickers. Basically everything was from Dollar Tree or I already had it! So easy but really cute!

This has a funny story. Basically, we went through 7 fish dying after a few minutes before we had  3 to live. This all took place a few hours before the party.

Craft table for the kids. Dr Seuss coloring pages, magnets, and lots of stickers. I got lucky and found these at Micheal's 75% off! Unfortunately, most of the kids found the two swing sets outside more entertaining. :)

I made the banner out of felt and hot glue. So easy and  for under $2!

Vintage Dr. Seuss lunchbox I bought at an auction for $7! I love it!

Jello, and Swedish Fish! The kids liked the individual containers. Just their size! :)

These plates are $10 for a set of 10 at Party City, but I got 5 sets of ten for $2 each , because the top plate was cracked  so I made a decorative plate with it and covered the crack with a sticker! So, 50 plates for $10 instead of $50! And they washed great in the dishwasher!!!

The Lorax was my inspiration for these cake pops! I wanted the pops to look as close to the Truffula Trees in the book as possible, so I used the corresponding colors and found these fluffy things at Micheals on sale! I also had a pic of the Lorax poking through the trees! The kids loved these!

As usual, this was a favorite!

Green Eggs! I made these sugar cookies shaped like eggs and used the green cookie icing. So easy but super cute and yummy!

I made these labels and the food labels on Word once again instead of paying someone for a PDF file. CHEAP!

Pizza Poppers! Wonton wrappers, and pizza toppings. So simple but tasty!

I saw these on Pintrest and HAD to make them!

Cat in the Hat Sprite. These went so fast! I made enough for the kids because I figured the adults wouldn't touch them, but they were grabbing them up before I could snap a picture! It's just Sprite, and Kool Aid ice cubes! When the ice cubes started to melt it flavored the Sprite!

My precious Birthday Boy! Poor thing had  the cast on.

I ordered his shirt off of Etsy.

Mylee Jo and Rose.
Party Favors! I had fun making these! I made the tags to go with them. In my opinion, the little details make a difference!

I had so much fun doing Peyton's party, even though my angel couldn't walk I think he enjoyed himself!

Broke Leg Boy (Peyton's Spica Cast)

Two weeks after Peyton turned two, he was running through my parents house wide open ,while we were visiting, slipped on the kitchen tile and hit the breakfast bar. He broke his femur and was placed in a Spica cast ( a cast covering an entire leg, half of the other leg, and extending over his bellybutton, which means not being able to bend at the waist.) The doctor's said it will be on two more weeks which will be a total of four weeks, then a smaller cast will be put on the broken leg only. PRAISE THE LORD! The cast has an opening that allows you to tuck the diaper up in the cast, but it is such a hassle and not to mention messy! We have been coping with lots of Bubble Guppies, movies, and new toys to keep him occupied! Surprisingly he has had a very good attitude which has been our silver lining through this entire ordeal. Everyone has been so helpful by visiting, bringing him goodies, praying, and sending care packages. We are so blessed to have wonderful friends and family during a time like this. We are praying everything keeps going well and that his leg doesn't give him any problems after the cast off.
**The name of this post is "Broke Leg Boy," because Jessica Smith couldn't remember Peyton's name and referred to him as that. We laughed so hard! Our little broke leg boy. :)**

In the ER after the morphine.

We stayed one night in the hospital and had his leg set the next morning.

Right after his surgery waiting for him to wake up.
