Two weeks after Peyton turned two, he was running through my parents house wide open ,while we were visiting, slipped on the kitchen tile and hit the breakfast bar. He broke his femur and was placed in a Spica cast ( a cast covering an entire leg, half of the other leg, and extending over his bellybutton, which means not being able to bend at the waist.) The doctor's said it will be on two more weeks which will be a total of four weeks, then a smaller cast will be put on the broken leg only. PRAISE THE LORD! The cast has an opening that allows you to tuck the diaper up in the cast, but it is such a hassle and not to mention messy! We have been coping with lots of Bubble Guppies, movies, and new toys to keep him occupied! Surprisingly he has had a very good attitude which has been our silver lining through this entire ordeal. Everyone has been so helpful by visiting, bringing him goodies, praying, and sending care packages. We are so blessed to have wonderful friends and family during a time like this. We are praying everything keeps going well and that his leg doesn't give him any problems after the cast off. **The name of this post is "Broke Leg Boy," because Jessica Smith couldn't remember Peyton's name and referred to him as that. We laughed so hard! Our little broke leg boy. :)**
